Christmas is a' coming...

Some Christmassy Holly picked on the farm!

and the goose is getting fat, not to mention the gangs of Pheasants that are currently roaming the farm! Autumn has gathered pace in the last week or so and the trees on the farm are probably now at their peak for colour. We've had a few misty mornings and a couple of frosty ones but all things considered its been perfect weather for people to enjoy a long weekend in the country. In both cottages this week, we have guests who wanted to get away from the fireworks where they live and they've thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Although it's still a bit too early to be thinking of getting into the Christmas spirit just yet, it definitely isn't too early to be making plans if you want to get away from it all. As I am writing, we only have a couple of dates left over Xmas and the New Year. As always we will be giving the cottages a gentle flavour of celebration and decoration without, we hope, going over the top! Bookings are started to come in for 2017 now (I'm not quite sure where exactly 2016 went to either!!) so if you have specific dates you need to secure, don't leave it too late to drop us a line.
