Fun Day's out
June 01, 2019
There are lots of exciting day's out within a stone's throw of Prawls. For the adventurers among you there is Bodiam Castle where you can climb the battlements, live like a medieval knight, jousting in a tournament and feed the gigantic fish that inhabit the moat! Or if you prefer a more leisurely pace you can take the Tenterden steam train or steam boat up the Rother to the castle. At Battle Abbey you can learn about the historic Battle of Hastings in 1066 and there is a full re-enactment to commemorate this on 12-13 October 2019. Camber Sands has miles of golden sands, whether you are looking for bucket and spade fun, kite surfing or a long walk.
Spring is here!
March 07, 2019
With the warm weather we've been having Spring has come early this year. The Snowdrops and Primroses are in full flower in our wooded Ghyll which are guests can enjoy by walking our Farm Trails. We have been keeping ourselves warm by clearing all the dead wood and having a fire. Rather too many marshmallows were eaten by the younger members of the family!
Looking forward to Spring & Summer gardens visits...
December 27, 2017
Kent and East Sussex have been blessed with a variety of spectacular gardens, often world famous for being the archetypal 'English Garden'. People come from far and wide to visit them, Europe, America, China and beyond - we are so lucky to have a number of them literally on our doorstep. As I write these notes, outside the wind is blowing and it carries with it flurries of sleet and snow so it's nice to think about something we can look forward to!
Baby Black Rhino!

A trip to Kent this year won't disappoint you, we have so much to see and do close by, a fabulous coastline to explore, historic gardens, entertainment for the children and much more besides. It's no wonder Kent was voted Europe'stop family holiday destination in 2015 by Lonely Planet. Today I've decided to pick out three local attractions our guests have enjoyed in the past and are definitely worth a visit, but honestly, I could write for a week and not cover everything that's available.
